The coconut garlic gravy

This is a spicy and delicious recipe that goes well with rice, chapattis and dosais. This recipe is cooked during the winter season by people living in hilly areas.

The following are the ingredients needed to prepare the gravy.

Complete grated coconut of one cup quantity

7 nos. of garlic cloves.

Jeera of half a teaspoon quantity.

One tomato

Curry leaf

Oil

Coriander for garnishing

One pinch of haldi

Preparation method

You need to take in a mixer, the grated coconut, chilli powder, garlic and jeera and then pound them into a paste.
In a kadai, the paste should be poured and then add the sliced tomato, salt, haldi. Pour one cup of water to the mixture and make it boil, till it gets thickened.

In another kadai, put 2 teaspoon of muster seeds and the curry leaf and then the gravy should be tempered.
Then the coriander should be added to the mixture. The gravy can be served hot along with rice, dosai or chapattis.
