Mango Pickle
Mango pickle is a readily available side dish. It is delicious and is an instant side dish. It can be used for some days. In this fast moving world, some of the housewives have turned into working woman. So they don’t have the required amount to prepare the side dish. So for them the Mango pickle comes in handy. It can be used an immediate side dish.
The ingredients needed to prepare the Mango pickle are
5 medium sized Mangoes
100gms of mustard powder
100 gms of Chilli powder
½ tsp of turmeric powder
1 cup of Gingelly (Sesame) oil
Sufficient amount of salt
Preparation Method
The Mangoes should be washed thoroughly and kept it dry. Make sure it is properly dried; otherwise it is difficult to keep for lengthy days.
Blend with a half a cup of oil the mustard, turmeric and chilli powders. Mix it properly and then add the Mango pieces to the mixture.
Inside a container pour the mixture and add another half a cup of oil and mix it properly.
Make sure the mango pickle is fully soaked inside the oil. Only if the Mango pieces are fully inside the oil it can stay for long days.
Serving
As already said the Mango pickle is an excellent side dish and can go well with any king of food, especially the south Indian foods.
