Keerai (Greens) Cutlet
The Keerai (Greens) Cutlet is a delicious and mouth watering dish which can be used as evening tiffen.It is healthy and at the sametime healthy.
The ingredients needed to prepare the keerai cutlet are
1 bunch of any keerai(Greens)
1 chopped tomato
1chopped big onion
1 teaspoon(heaped) of sambar powder
½ teaspoon of ginger garlic paste.
¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder
¼ teaspoon of Gram masala powder
1 cup of Besan flour.
A sufficient amount of oil for frying
Salt for taste.
Preparation Method
You need to wash the Keerai (Greens) thoroughly and slice into small bits.
Pour some two or three teaspoons of oil into the kadai.
When the kadai is hot add some chopped onion and fry it for some time.
Than add ginger paste and stir it well.
After that add tomato pieces and mash it nicely.
You can than add chopped greens and just for a second mix it.
From the flame remove the contents.
When the content is sufficiently warm to handle, than little by little add besan flour and blend it in hand to make dough.
Now take a some amount of dough that is in the size of a lemon, roll and make into a ball and slightly flatten it slightly.
The oil should be heated in the tawa and then arrange the cutlets on the tawa
Around the cutlet pour one or two teaspoons of oil and keep it in a medium flame.
After a lapse of few minutes turn the cutlet gently and let it cook for some time on the other side.
Repeat the same process until the cutlet is crunchy and nice brown in color.
