R&R, the Ice Cream firm is likely to be put up for sale. The ice-cream major has its base in UK. Most of its shares are held by Oak tree Capital Management, the US private equity company.
Wall street Journal stated that to judge the interest level in the organization, Barclays capital was hired by Oak tree.
In the year 2006, Oak tree established the R&R firm by acquiring the Richmond Foods (US ice-cream maker) and merging it with French asset Rocadin.
R&R manufactures ice-cream for vendor all over the European continent and has licensing contracts with leading food brands such as Kraft foods, Nestle, etc.
R&R officials refused to comment, whilst Oak tree was inaccessible for immediate comment.
