“Rights of Parents “, Monthly Educational Program by IMA Youth Wing

IMA Youth Wing organized its monthly Tarbiyati (educational) program in its different zones, for all Urdu speaking Muslim youth living in Kuwait. Many youngsters attended the program. Presentations and lectures were delivered on important topics by prominent scholars.

Kuwait City Unit Report

IMA Youth Wing Kuwait City Unit, organized the educational program at Masjid Marzouqul Badar, Maliya , Kuwait. The key note speaker of the program Br. Mujahid Umri delivered his speech on the topic ‘Solutions for the Problems in the Relationship between Parents and Children’.  While speaking on the topic he said “Allah has commanded us to worship him without making any partners to him and do good to parents. Disrespect to parents is considered as one of the greatest sins in Islam”. He quoted many verses from the Glorious Quran and Hadith on different aspects of this relationship.

Another speaker Br. Nisar Ahmad spoke on the subject “The evils of arrogance”. He admonished attendees not be arrogant with the support of a very famous story, which is mentioned in the Sure Kahaf of Holy Quran. He said generally people become arrogant when they have abundant wealth, power and money. But a true believer in all situations, be it in prosperity or adversity, would remain humble and thankful to his creator.

A presentation was given on the topic ‘Wiping over the Socks for Purification’ by Br. Jafar Sadiq, explaining all the rulings and emphasizing on utilizing flexibilities and exemptions provided by Sharia in different situations. The program was conveyed by Br.Tabish Shams and was convened by Br.Faisal.

Fahaheel Unit Report

Fahaheel Zone organized its Tarbiyati (educational) at Darul Quran, Fahaheel . Br. Walid Umri spoke on the topic ‘Owner of the two gardens’,  explaining the examples mentioned in the Holy Quran of two persons, one who was given plenty of wealth and rebelled against Allah, thinking that whatever he had was the result of his talent and knowledge, and the other who was poor,  but obedient and thankful to Allah.
Key note address was delivered by Br. Ziaur Rahman on the topic ‘Rights of Parents’ who emphasized on the subject by stating the verses from Quran where in Allah has commanded us to be good to parents,  very next to mentioning his right of worship. He also stated the verses that declare “Cursed is the person who does not enter paradise by serving his parents”.
Other topics included ‘Etiquettes of Wudu’ by Br. Ayaz Alam and ‘Media Campaign’ by Br. Imtiyaz Khan. The program was convened by Br. Fazalul Bari and was organized by Br. Shamim.

Salmiya Unit Report

Salmiya zone program was conducted in Masjid Nasser Al- Khanna on the fourth Friday of the month, 25th June 2010. Program highlights included Br. Nisar Ahmed delivering a speech on a topic from Quran ‘Two garden owners – Do bagh waale’ , who very eloquently shed light on the subject with a story from glorious Quran where Allah says that a person with pride cannot last for long. All that happens in this world is due to Allah’s wish and He can change destiny of a person at His will. He also explained that a person cannot love Allah the most, until he has sacrificed or dedicated his most loved thing in the path of Allah.
Other topic was delivered by Mr. Mujahid Khan Omri on ‘Ways of dealing with parents’. Speaking on the subject he called upon the Muslim youth to understand the value of parents in Islam.  He highlighted on the fact that parents have rights on children and their wealth subject to parents valuing the earned money of the children. He said one should bring balance in married life and live with parents with harmony and cooperation.  The program lasted for one hour and was conveyed by Mr. Mir Wajid Ali Hashmi.

All the programs were concluded with prayer to Allah beseeching his guidance to understand and practice what was learned. Refreshments were served at the end of the programs.
