Jeddah Tamil Sangam conducted children arts and cultural programs

Jeddah Tamil Sangam’s children arts and cultural programs were conducted in a grand manner at the premises of the Consulate General of India, in front of the Indian Consul General and other consulate officials.

The function commenced with the singing of the Indian National anthem, the Saudi Arabia’s national anthem, Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu. Ms. SriVidya gave the welcome address. Master Shruthi Sagermoorthy and Mugundha JayaKishen jointly anchored the function programs. Tamil Sangam member Mr.Sirajudhin on behalf of the Sangam expressed condolences for the demise of the former Indian ambassador Farooq Maraicker, who passed away recently.

Under the supervision of Murali, the fancy dress competitions for the kids were conducted in an excellent manner; the program replicated all the great Indian leaders.

The kids’ foot loose dance choreographed by Dinesh and his troupe won a wide range of applause from the audience. The Quiz competetion conducted by Javed proved to be an interesting as well as an informative program. The children’s program conducted by Ms.Sri Vidya publicized the Indian Integration, and also portrayed the concept of “Unity in diversity”.

The Indian Consulate General’s short address, and the speech made by the consulate officials, Messrs Mubarak, Moorthy motivated the Tamil community of Jeddah.

The physcians of the Jeddah Eye clinic under the supervision of the Tamil Sangam member Abdul Aziz (Trichy) conducted a free eye camp.

Ms.Sofia Asmeen gave the thanking address. The function came to a happy ending, with the hosting of night dinner by the Jeddah Tamil Sangam.
