Montreal
Montreal boasts of having the most beautiful tourist spots such as the Mount Royal Park, Montreal science centre, the Notre-Dame de Montréal Basilica, Pointe-à-Callière Museum, Montreal city hall, the Bonsecours market, Place Jacques-Cartier, and the old port of Montreal.
Mount Royal
The Mount Royal is portion of the Monteregian Hills, sandwiched between the Appalachians and the Laurentians. A visitor can find three peaks in this mountain, Mount Royal proper (Colline de la Croix situated at a height of 233m), Mount Murray (Collin d'Outremont, located at 211m altitude) and Westmount situated at a height of 201m.
The Mount Royal Park
You can visit one of the green spaces of Montreal, the Mount Royal Park. You will find 2 Belvedere (architectural structures) situated in the park. Out of these 2 structures, the Kondiaronk Belvedere, which is a chalet with a semicircular plaza, and it, overlooks the downtown Montreal.
A visitor can also visit the tiny manmade artificial lake called the Beaver Lake in the center of the park. He can also take time in enjoying the ski slope, or the trails of cross-country skiing. You can also visit the sculpture garden and admire the beautiful stone sculptures kept on display. Some of the other well known spots n the park are an interpretive center called as the Smith house and the monument of George-Étienne Cartier Monument.
