With its new flight service, Emirates joins Dubai with Rio and Buenos Aires
Emirates has stretched its South American network service by joining Dubai with Buenos Aires and to the city of Rio de Janeiro, thereby extending the reach of the airlines across the South American continent.
At Rio de Janeiro’s Galeao-Antonio Carlos Jobim International Airport, the inaugural fight 247 of emirates made its primary landing, where a conventional salute of the cannons marked its initiation.
Captain Marcos Medina of Argentina operated the flight, which then headed for its onward linking journey to Buenos Aires. At the Argentine capital, the flight was given a warm welcome by the Argentine Tourism minister, Enrique Meyer, the airport and government bureaucrats.
The new service to the two renowned South America cities will not only enhance the trade links with UAE, but also the travallers will be introduced to the route network of the emirates, stretching across the globe.
