Tiny Tots of Learners Own Academy showcase their talents.

“Child is the father of man” Wordsworth’s world famous quote was personified magnificently by Learner’s own tiny tots (LKG-sections A to J) on Thursday, February 15th 2012, when they presented their fountain of talents at their maiden open day celebrations. It was a right royal performance by the kids who were head and shoulders above their seniors. The budding artists were able to shepherd themselves with enthusiasm even if it was their debut performance. They proved that Rome was not built in a day. Nothing of value has ever been achieved without great effort. Their performance reflected the famous school of thought; “children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.” They deserve the plaudits they received for the spectacular display of their talents.

The memorable event was unveiled with the recitation of the holy Quran followed by Kuwait and Indian national anthems. The teams that adorably did the welcome song and dance proved that they were bestowed upon right shoulders. The ceremonious lamp of knowledge was lit by the distinguished chief guest Sister Serina, (Principal, Carmel school, Kuwait). The school was honoured by her benign presence and the whole team was extremely gay to receive her appreciation. Principal Mrs. Asha Sharma, extended a warm welcome Sister Serina, who has won laurels in the field of education, the exuberant parents, who always have been a great support in the rapid growth of the school and the entire school wing which is the pivotal part of the school .While addressing the august gathering, Mrs. Sharma recollected the year gone by which was a euphoric and exuberant one with a plethora of celebratory events dotting the calendar. Scholastic and non scholastic achievements by the students served to reinforce our pride in our school and to act as a spur to scale even greater heights. She added that the school’s sole aim will always be to fuel the student’s thirst for knowledge and there by help them to achieve excellence in life for, in this highly competitive world there is no place for mediocrity.

The chief guest eulogized the entire LOA team for its dedication and expertise in bringing the school an envious success in a flash. She was full of appreciation for the enthusiasm and invigorated energies of the tiny tots in participating whole heartedly in the whole repertoire of activities. She reminded the parents that they have invested their precious treasure, their lovely kids in the safe and right hands of a visionary leader, Mrs. Sharma. In her perception, Mrs. Sharma knows very well, when, where and what to apply in different phases of a child. She recollected and narrated beautifully the story of a mechanic who helped and saved the captain and his crew of a wrecked ship with his accurate knowledge. Mrs. Sharma has bounteous knowledge and the parents are lucky that she will guide their young ones as a torch in darkness.

While the little anchors who were in high spirits spoke, the audience hung on their lips with wonder. In the potpourri of rhymes the little ones jived away and swayed to the wonderful world of music. The riveting performances by the little artists include, “Dingle dangle scare crow”, “Yankee doodle”, “This old man”, “Where is thumpkin?”, “Two little hands”, “Tofa tofa”, “Wind the bobbin up”, “Maa maa thum kithni ache ho”, “What is it tall ears”, “Five little ducks”, “Out in the garden”, “Shake and move”, “Five little monkeys”, “If you are happy”, “Clap your hands”, “Its all clap”, “If all the rain drops”, “Gummy bear”, and “It’s a beautiful life”.

The bright hues of the children’s attires and their sparkling performance lit up the stage like a million stars dancing in the sky. It was a visual delight watching the little gems putting up a showcase event. Not to be left behind, they imaginatively brought out the message of love among all. The programme rose to a final crescendo and ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in the minds of everyone. Parents beamed with pride to see their precious children emerging victoriously from the shell. It is true that rivers and children have a modest beginning but they achieve volume and speed and spread. Hats off and Kudos to their zest and dynamism.

Open Day at ILOA unfolds talents

If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against injustice, we shall have to begin with the children." The father of our nation was absolutely right while making this beautiful but sober comment on our unpredictable little children.
No one has yet fully realized the wealth of sympathy, kindness, generosity and above all, the artistic talents hidden in the soul of a child. The effort of every true education should be to unlock that treasure. LKG teachers of Learners own academy were able to unlock that immense treasure on 23rd February 2012 at their open day celebrations thereby proving that every child comes with the message, “God is not yet discouraged of man.”
They managed to put up the show with creativity, dedication, punctuality and self-discipline. It was a fabulous performance with a fairy tale ambience.

The recitation of The Holy Quran followed by Kuwait and Indian national anthems instilled a blend of piety and patriotic fervour in the minds of the spectators. The lighting of the ceremonious lamp of knowledge by the respected chief guest Mr. E.D.Titus, the director of Bahrain Exchange Company, was an explicit symbol of the eradication of ignorance through proper education. School principal Mrs. Sharma welcomed the chief guest and addressed the august gathering by expressing the school’s gratitude to all for churning together the institution’s incredible success.

The anchors who were a step above both in their use of vocabulary and its pronunciation proved that lingua franca in any angle is not an Achilles’ heel but a monopoly game in their dexterous hands. They reminded us that, it is only the early bird that gets the worm! The more that we put forth the more we are going to gain from it. The credit of putting forth and gaining back goes to the LKG coordinators and teachers who did a wonderful job. Hats off to a team that worked!

Nursery rhymes have a long and rich tradition in any reputed school. They transport children to a world of fantasy and imagination, and can really develop their visualization skills through actions and lip movement. The way the little ones presented panoply of anomalous rhymes demanded a standing ovation. For adults it was a recollection of their ever green memories of their childhood. It was an anecdotal display, portraying the multi-faceted talents of the tiny tots and it left everyone in splits. Children enjoy the present because they have neither a past nor a future. The whole fiesta ended in a crescendo of applause by all.
Mr. Titus urged parents not to stress their children and allow them to grow independently and naturally. He cited example of Bill gates. He stressed on the importance of good health of tiny tots which is much more important than proficiency in academics at this stage.

The whole show was a piece of advice to the adults;

“Bitter are the tears of a child: Sweeten them.
Deep are the thoughts of a child: consider them.
Sharp is the grief of a child: Take it from him.
Soft is the heart of a child: Do not harden it.”
