The Strand Arcade

The Strand Arcade is a Victorian style shopping mall that is located in Sydney, the captial of NewSouth Wales state, Australia. The shopping mall is situated in the hub of the central business district of Sydney in between George Street and Pitt Street Mall.

The shopping mall was designed by John Spence, a well-known British architect and constructed in the year 1891 and opened to the public 1892.

Previously the Mall was called as “City Arcade”, and also called by other name as “Arcade Street”. The mall was later named after the most renowned theater, shopping and hotel street of London, the Strand.

The Strand Arcade presently houses some of the well known designer brand of Australia like Alex Perry, Alannah Hill, , Victoria Buckley Jewellery, Jayson Brunsdon Fleur Wood and Terry Biviano.

Some of the other stores present in the shopping arcade are

Bon Bon Fine Chocolate, a favorite palace for the kids, where each chocolate has its individual taste and story.

Dustin jewelers, a shop that provides a broad range of excellent and gorgeous jewelry items.

Fialora culture, a shop that focuses on bridal and evening wear.

Reetz boutique, a shopping outlet that specializes in fashion accessories and ladies wear.

The Strand Arcade also house stores like Terry Biviano, La Rosa, Elie Bags & Leather Repair, Marbo Shirt, Christopher Hanlon, Maiolo Salon, etc.
