KUWAIT TAMIZHOSAI'S "IYMPERUM KAAPPIYA KALAI VIZHA"

Kuwait Tamizhosai Poets Association has organized a spectacular, a jewel in crown mega cultural programme "IYMPERUM KAAPPIYA KALAI VIZHA" in commemoration of its Fifth Anniversary. The programme was held on 8th April 2011 at Carmel School, Al-Kaitan, Kuwait.      His Excellency, the Indian Ambassador to Kuwait Shri. Ajay Malhotra was grace the function as Chief Guest. The programme was started with lighting the lamp by the eminent poetesses of Tamizlosai Mrs. Aani Francis, Devi Ravi, Jansirani, Rani Mohan and Amudha Gopal followed by the Tamilzhosai doctrine song. The secretary Mr. Abhu Thakeer was ably compeered the entire events. Mr. Allaudin, the Manager of T.V.S. Cargo, Kuwait welcomed the audience which include H.E. the Indian Ambassador, the main sponsor Haaji. S. M. Haider Ali, the co-sponsors and the special guests especially the popular Tami orator Dr. P. Saron, Loyola College, Chennai, the recent Kollywood sensation "Kazhavani Pugazh" Mr. Vimal and the dynamic director & popular actor Mr. Thambi Ramaiah and all the participants.
Drawing a huge wave of applause, the president of Tamizhosai Mr. U.K. Sivakumar delivered the presidential address followed by a glittering dance by the children of "Barathanjali" dance school. With her own choreography, The Tamizhosai's nightingale Miss. Terasa staged her first fantabulous dance programme using young children.
The glorious evening witnessed a spectacular music performance by the versatile musician of Tamizhosai Mr. Francis, singers Mrs. Rani Mohan, Mr. Ganesh, Mr. Gangesh, Mr. Kalifulla and Mr. Subramaniyan who regaled the audience with their cheerful, resonant and mellifluous voices with memorable cine songs. All the participants are enthusiastically witnessed the musical extravaganza. The audience was ecstatic and many in the back rows were seen dancing to the tunes and beats coming from the stage. The glittering dance for the song "Oru thaai makkal naam yenbom" by the school children captured the essence of Incredible India and focused the unity and integrity of India and it was an unforgettable cultural feast for all the participants.
In their felicitation addresses, the main sponsor Haaji. S. M. Haider Ali and the eminant scholars of Tamizhosai, Dr. Pal Manual, Dr. K. Kumar and Er. Senthamil Arasu who all were full of compliments for the services and achievements rendered by the Tamizhosai. While inviting the Ambassador to the stage, Er. P. Sekar recalled the Indian Ambassador's affectionate relationship with the Tamil people             as his child-hood study begun in Ootty, Tamilnadu. 
H.E. the Indian Ambassador Ajay Malhotra presented the memento to the all the sponsors and special guests. He addressed the gathering and praised the social services and generous financial support rendered by Tamizhosai to the downtrodden people in Tamilnadu. He released the souvenir of Tamizhosai and the ten books written by the prominent Tamil writer Mr. Vidhyasagar. He stated that the activities of the Tamizhosai were highly laudable and he assured of the support of the Indian Embassy for all social activities of Tamizhosai. The Ambassador also elaborated the Indian Embassy's assistance and support in terms of free air tickets to the Indian people those who want to exit from Kuwait by availing the prevailing amnesty period announced by the  Kuwait Government.
A Highlight of the meeting was the 'Kaviarangam'  entitled “Idayam Nirainth Iravukal" presided  Prof. Sarun of Layola College, Chennai and participated by Mr. Saadik Bahsha, Karungulam Sivamani, Kavi sekaran, Karthikeyan, Jansi Rani and Devi Ravi. The poems were recited well received by all members. The special guest Prof. Sarun delivered his key note address entitled "Tamizha Tamil Oonakku Pahaiya". Prof. Sarun along with the Kollywood Cine hero Vimal and the most talented Director Thambi Ramaiah were able to effortlessly connect with the crowd with their humor and soul filling renditions.
The vote of thanks was ably delivered by Mr. Vittukatti Masthan of Tamizhosai. Never in the history of Kuwait Tamizhosai has such a lively and entertaining programme been witnessed.
