Kuwait Knanaya Cultural Association celebrated this year’s first family get together as an outdoor picnic in the luxurious Mishref garden on Friday, 30th March 2012. Around 1200 members from the association gathered in the garden on this beautiful day with a spirit of unity, joy and enthusiasm. Fr. Jose Nirappil, Vicar of Ahmadi Parish was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the picnic by releasing the KKCA stamped balloons into the sky. Program started exactly as scheduled at 10am and the Members were welcomed by the General Secretary Mr. Joby Pulikkolil, which was followed by the Presidential address by Mr. Reji Kunnasseril, inauguration by the Chief Guest and the vote of thanks by the Treasurer Mr. M.P Joseph.

A special honoring and blessings for the visiting parents and the newly wedded couples were carried out by the Chief Guest and President. Varity of fun and sports games were organized for all age groups and the entire day was filled with full of fun, happiness and entertainment. The participation from the members for each game according to their age groups was enormous and very encouraging. The most attracting event of the day was the inter-Koodarayogam Tug-of-War which received great cheers not only from the members but also from others who were present in the park, irrespective of their nationality. The overall championship trophy was awarded to St. Theresa’s Koodarayogam Salmiya and the runners-up trophy to St. Thomas Koodarayogam Abbasiya. All the games were conducted within the time frame, prizes were distributed and the day-long entertaining picnic came to an end exactly at 5pm as scheduled by the organizers. The main reason for making this picnic a Grand Success was definitely the outcome of the co-operation from all its members coupled with the dedicated efforts and proper preparations undertaken by all the Office-bearers of Kuwait Knanaya Cultural Association 2012.
