Korea is a geographic area in the eastern part of Asia, segregated into 2 separate autonomous states called North Korea and South Korea. It is situated in the Korean peninsula and its neighboring countries are Russia in the northeast, the People's Republic of China in the northwest. In the east the Sea of Japan and the Korean strait, separates the nation from Japan, and the East China Sea separates Korea from the Republic of china (Taiwan) in the south.
