KKCA CELEBRATED CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR

Kuwait Knanaya Cultural Association celebrated Christmas and New year with colorful events in a sparkling family atmosphere at Indian Community School, Khaitan on 13th January 2012 will be remembered as the most memorable and colorful days in the history of KKCA.

The celebrations started with the Carol singing competition among all the prayer groups. All The teams were excellent and it was a very difficult task for the Judges to find out the winners.

Miss Preeti Manoj introduced all the guest and dignitaries to the stage and the public meeting started at 7 p.m

The public meeting was presided over by the KKCA president Mr.Thomas Mullappally. Joint secretary Mr. Joel Jose welcomed all the dignitaries and members to the event. Sr. Preeti from St. Joseph congregation of Chambery (France) was the chief guest of the programe. Sr. Preeti inaugurated the function by lighting the lamps and she gave an excellent Christmas message. KKCL chairman Akhnath Bibu and Olivia Sunny addressed the gathering. Treasurer Mr. T.J Joseph said vote of thanks.

So many colorful dance show was there by the KKCL members and couples and it was excellent. All the programs were colorful and got big appreciation from the huge family gathering of around 1000. There was a musical event which was lead by Joel, Joby, Josekutty, Allen, Jenny and Salini. A buffet dinner was also arranged.

KKCA secretary Mr. Sajan read the Annual report and Mr. T.J Joseph submitted the financial report of the year 2011. F.S.S Convenor Mr. Tomy Pralady presented the F.S.S report and then the election for the year 2012 conducted by the presiding officer Mr. Thomas Pallikkara. The newly elected president Mr. Reji Kunnasseril, Secretary Mr. Joby Pulikkolil and Treasurer Mr. Joseph M.P and all other committee members were pledged by the presiding officer.

Silver Jubilee couples were honored and received mementos from the KKCA President. Merit certificate and trophies to the winner of class 1st to 10th were distributed. Different gifts for the winners of KKCA sports festivals were distributed.

The success of the mega event was the result of collective effort put in by the sub committees and service teams under the leadership of Arts committee convener Mr. Jose Mookkanchathiel, Cultural convener Mr. Siju M.C and the Social welfare convener Mr. M.P. Joseph
