India International School holds Students Council Election

India International School declared the dates for students council election. The election was announced by the Principal Mr. Anis Ahmad and declared Mr. Bala Subramanian as Chief Election Officer, Mrs. Nalini the Returning Officer and Mrs. Sreeja Arun as the Assisstant returning Officer.

Twenty one students filed their nominations for different posts like Head Boy, Head Girls, their Assistants, Sports captain boy & girl and their Assistants.

Sunday was the day when they were asked to address the students in the morning assembly on the issues related to school development and activities in the school. They also spoke about their role as leaders, as representatives of the students.
It was wonderful to see these contestants addressing the voters (the students of class VI to XII)

The process will make them understand the concept of elections in Democracy, which is the most common form of Government in most of the countries.

These contestants will be allowed to go for election campaign on Tuesday during last two periods. 

The voting is going to be held on Thursday the 29th April 2010 between 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

The results will be declared the same day during the activity period.
