Indian Muslim Associations (IMA-Kuwait) Fahaheel and Abu-Halifa Units in organized an Iftar Party on 20th August, 2010 for the Non-Muslim Brethren belonging to various faiths to foster friendship at Al-Rayan Lounge, Hotel Mughal Mahal, Fahaheel.

Hassan Taha Bwambale, Manager Education Section, AWARE Center Kuwait delivered a lecture on the subject of, “The Message of Ramadan”. He explained the theme behind the fasting to the Non-Muslim audience. He quoted the verse from the Holy Qur’an, “O you who believe, fasting is decreed for you, as it was decreed for those before you, that you may attain salvation". He further explained that the fasting is also mentioned in other religious literatures, as it promotes self-control.

While referring the Holy Qur’an he said, “the month of Ramadan in which the Holy Qur’an was revealed, a guidance for mankind and clear proofs for the criterion (between right and wrong), so whoever of you sights (the crescent on the first night of) the month (of Ramadan), he must fast that month, and whoever is ill or on a journey, the same number (of days which one did not fast must be made up) from other days.”

In his Presidential speech, Feroz Miller, Manager Oil Sector, Combined Group appreciated IMA for organizing such a program. He stressed that the purpose of fasting is to create taqwa (God consciousness). He further added that the ultimate objective of the life is the success in hereafter (life after death). The chief guest of the function Munif Al-Ajmi, Manager IPC (Ahmadi Governorate area) said that it is the responsibility of the Muslims towards the non-Muslims brethren to covey the true message of Islam.
