IMA conducted an interactive Get Together on “Vision 2016”

Kuwait (Oct, 21’ 2011): Indian Muslim Association (IMA)’s Social Service Department has organized an interactive Get Together on “Vision 2016” at Hotel Swiss Bell Plaza in Kuwait city. Vision 2016’ is an ambitious plan taken up by ‘Human Welfare Foundation - India’ to uplift the most deprieved class .

Prof. K.A Siddique Hassan, General Secretary of Human Welfare Foundation was the chief guest of the event. ‘He elaborated on the achievements of Vision – 2016 project; which intends to build a society where the Muslims and other deprived communities attain equal standing in economic, social welfare, education and health sectors. He said, through vision-2016 it will try it’s best to uplift the status of Muslim community and other deprived communities and enable them contribute towards welfare of the country in all spheres of life.

IMA President Mohammed Aslam gave concluding remarks and stressed the importance of the social work as he was referring to a Hadith, on the Doomsday, Allah will say to a person, "I was ill, but you did not come to nurse Me." The man will reply, "God, You being the Lord of the universe how can You be ill?" God will answer, "Such and such servant of mine was ill. He further added that one can receive Allah's reward in the Hereafter only if one has done something to alleviate the sufferings of mankind.

The eminent participants from different walks of life has attended the event, where an interactive question and answer session was arranged. Audio – Visual presentation was presented to explain vision 2016 activities.

Ahmad Ali, General Secretary of IMA gave an introduction to the activities of IMA. The Program started with the recitation of Holy Qur’an and was convened by BS Sharafuddin.
