IKFS thanks Hon.Chief Minister Sadananda Gowda to increase Medical & Dental Seats in Karnataka
Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society has thanked Karnataka Government for increasing the number of Postgraduate Medical and Dental seats. IKFS President Dr. Ghalib Al-Mashoor said in a press release that Karnataka State Chief Minister Sri. D.V. Sadananda Gowda, has made brilliant steps towards the fulfillment of the Students’ requirements while increasing the seats in Professional Colleges. Sri Gowda and the Education Minister is deserving all the salutes from Parents who want their children to be enrolled in Karnataka Colleges.
Karnataka State is considered safe haven for Students who want to progress their higher studies. Comparing to other neighboring states no agitations by the students of various political party organizations can be seen. This will have a great comfort for the parents. The government has increased 80 seats for PG Medical and 33 seats for PG Dental. While about 28 seats have been increased for clinical section with 41 seats for Para-Clinical and 13 seats for Pre-Clinical. Comparing to last year, the increase in the seats are considered great comfort for the students who are enrolling from the neighboring state Kerala. There are 558 Medical degree seats with 183 Medical diploma seats. Increasing the seats in Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) from 183 to 216 is considered an added value for the students in Dentistry.
IKFS requested to stop the hike of 10 percent in fees for MBBS and BDS, PGS courses for seats under the Government quota in private colleges. The increase in the fees is a burden for the students, IKFS commented. However, this hike will not be applicable to Government Colleges.
