EXHILARATING WINTER CARNIVAL AT IES
At the fringe of immense excitement IES hosted the fourth kaleidoscopic Winter Carnival on 28 Jan 2011. The chairman Mr. Ramachandran Menon officially inaugurated the array of exciting events at 11am. The IES environs shimmered with game stalls, majestic inflators, aromatic multi cuisine food courts and bracing cultural shows. The plenteous balloons lurched high above beckoning the visitors to the winter carnival of IES.
The vibrant volunteers of IES welcomed the considerable number of visitants who flocked in. The magniloquent orators manoeuvred the visitants and blew open the avenues to the multifarious venues of entertainment. A try at most of the game stalls led the group to lush green plants with multihued flowers and one could not help buying at least one. The beauty corner, instant portrait, Stop and Shop and the White Elephant Stall enticed the visitors. The surprise gifts and bumper prizes boosted the spirit and life of competition in the game stalls. The spell binding magic show and computer games kept the crowd busy. The bubbly balloons and the Bouncy rides kept up the festive mood. The splendid cultural show rich in theme, colour and costume, to specially mention, the jugalbandhi invited praises and applause in plenty. The Fashion Show was another astounding highlight of the day. The pretty queens and little masters who walked the ramp for the Baby Show swiped the hearts of the audience with their rapturous smiles. The Dance Competition was watched by an enthusiastic audience in the jam-packed auditorium. The winners of these shows were accorded certificates and superb prizes. The Vice Chairperson Mrs. Khandelwal appreciated the judges of the shows with mementos.
The thrilling events of the day came to an end when the visitors in anticipation gathered for the raffle draw. The Principal, Mr T. Premkumar announced the names of the numerous winners on whom Lady Luck had smiled. The first Prize an elegant Roamer gents wrist watch went to Miss. Seema Suresh Shetty of grade 6, the second prize ‘Movado’ lady’s wrist watch was bagged by Mr. Ashley and the Kuwait –Mumbai –Kuwait Jet Air Ways Economy class ticket was bagged by Mr. Rohan Venkatesh. The winners rushed to amass the fabulous prizes and for others it was ‘better luck next time’. The Principal expressed his gratitude to the benefactors, the sponsors and well wishers of IES Winter Carnival 2011. He also thanked the parents of IES, who have always been the strong pillars of support, for manifesting the feeling of oneness with their presence and participation. The principal also put on record his appreciation for the students, teachers and the whole IES fraternity for the wonderful act of being together and working together as one.
IES never aims for anything below the best. IES believes in working together and this has always been the key to our success. Bouquets of public plaudits and supportive parents have bolstered IES since its inception in 2006. IES is looking forward to yet another vibrant carnival with fantastic and fabulous prizes and many exciting events.
