Eighteen qualifying submission for toon Oscars
Nearly 18 qualifying submissions were sent to the Academy of Motion pictures and Science for consideration in the category of animation, thereby confirming that there will be five nominations for the toon Oscars.
Ever since the category was formed in the year 2010, this it’s the third time that the Academy has received a maximum number of submissions. In the 2010 final list, there were only 15 films.
