BSK held its Annual General Meeting on the 27th January 2012 at Riggae. The program commenced with Satyanarayana Pooja followed by bhajans by members. The outgoing President Mr. Sudhakar Shetty presided over the meet and briefed the audience about the various cultural activities organised and social activities undertaken in the past year. He also highlighted the accomplishment of each of his committee members. Mr. Harish Shetty, Treasurer briefed the audience about the income and expenditure of the Sangha for the year. Mr. Guruprasad Hegde, General Secretary, highlighted the various initiatives and offered the vote of thanks. Token of appreciation was bestowed upon all the subcommittee members,other adults and kids who participated in the various cultural programs. The managing committee also honored few recently married members for promoting social cause of non-dowry marriage with memento.

Mrs. Swarna Shetty, Returning Officer for the election of the New Managing Committee briefed on the electroal process for 2012. The Committee Members were elected unopposed. The incumbent members are President: Mr. Satishchandra Shetty, Vice President: Soma Shekhar Rai, General Secretary: Mr. Jaysheel Shetty, Treasurer: Mr. Sadananda Adhyanthaya, Cultural Secretary: Mr. Rakshak Shetty, Sports Secretary: Pandari Shetty, Public Relations Officer: Mrs Kalpana Shetty.

The incumbent Managing Committee members briefly introduced themselves and thanked the members for their support.

The overall program was conducted well with a sumptuous lunch from Avanti Palace Restaurant. The program finally concluded with medley of cultural programs performed by the kids and adults, tastefully choreographed by the members. The Indian National Anthem was sung as a fitting finale to the day’s proceedings. The program was hosted well by Mr. Sanath Kumar Shetty.
