BHAVAN’S SCHOOL SCORES A MAIDEN CENTURY IN THE CBSE CLASS 12 EXAMINATION

 Credits have crowded into IES with the declaration of the CBSE 12th results. The maiden batch with 28 students in the science stream and six students in the commerce stream has honoured its Alma Mater with luminous knolls of achievement, cent percent pass, endowing the IES fraternity with a plethora of gratification and jubilation. This propitious prestige conferred by the first batch will be embalmed in the effervescent records of IES as a testimony of ingenuity, reverence and gratitude. The enterprising Bhavanites have poured plaudits with their stupendous uphill struggle and pledge to be devoted to any venture not less than the best. Bhavanites excel in their allegiance to a task, be it studies, competitions or performance. The enterprising engineers, devoted doctors, sharp scientists, brainy businessmen and witty writers have evenly made their marks.

The English Department has soared high with the propitious 23 A1 grades. The magnanimous language has been endowed with magnanimous results. Eight out of the 23 secured 95% in English. The credibility of the English Department has been garlanded with cent percent first class. 79.3% of the students who appeared for the boards scored more than 80% marks. The Department of English headed by Mrs Rajashree Menon who believes in innovative classroom interaction and kindling creativity in children extolled Bhavanites for magnifying the department with their outstanding performance. The faculty is proud of Bhavanites.

The Science Department has been honoured with 6 A1 grades in Physics, 11 A1 Grades in Chemistry and 4 A2 Grades in Biology. The topper in Chemistry has scored a stunning 99%. 29% of the students who appeared for the exam scored more than 80% in Physics. 68% of the students scored more than 80% in Chemistry and 71% of the students scored more than 71% in Biology. The Science faculty headed by Mrs Bessy Varkey, the class teacher of the Science batch, appreciated the genuine efforts of Bhavanites in coming out amidst strife by being the best always. The results and efforts have proved it and the genuine efforts did bring tears into the eyes of the teacher.

The Mathematics Department has to its credit 7 A1 grades and 7 A2 grades. The topper of the school has to her credit a dazzling 99%. 42.4 % of the students who appeared for the exam scored more than 80% marks. The Head of the Department, Mrs Beena Krishna expressed her gratitude to the teachers for their timely guidance and students for their genuine efforts.

The Department of Commerce headed by Mrs.Anita Sadanand also has an A1 and 2 A2 grades in Economics, an A1 and 3 A2 grades in Business Studies and an A1 and an A2 in Accountancy to its credit. 10% of the students who appeared for the exam scored more than 80% marks in Economics. 67% of the students scored more than 80% in Business studies and 17% of the students scored more than 80% in Accountancy. Mrs Anita and Mrs Srikala Dileep put on record their sincere appreciation for the students who worked day and night.

The Computer Science Department headed by Mrs Asha Ebey has been crowned with 7 A1 grades and 4 A2 grades. 76% of the students who appeared for the exam scored more than 80 % marks in Computer Science and Informatics has centum with 80% marks to its credit. The department praised the astonishing efforts of the students.

For  Bhavans every child is precious. IES does not believe in laying hands on a child’s future with the so called ‘filtering’. IES has only moulded the gifts that came to it in the form of these children with so much care and concern. Nevertheless in the sway IES has not tampered with the ingenious Bhavanites but has enriched their vistas of wisdom. Many thanks to the humane philosophy of our Chairman Mr. N K Ramachandran Menon the man with a vision,  and the unassuming man who believes in team spirit, Principal Mr T Premkumar. The Principal eulogized the teachers for their genuine guidance and cheering efforts in moulding holistic citizens to be the pride of tomorrow.
