The centre for Family Home child care requested the parents to pick their children instead of having them to attend the afterschool program.

Thelma Edwards, the director of the Stellarton Family Home child care centre said the damage was actually caused by a rag, which entered into the system.

Only around noon, the people at the centre found the damage, and since they did not know how long it will take to rectify the problem, they informed and requested the parents to pick up their kids. Most of the parents took their children. The rest of the kids were shifted to an area that was not affected by the damage.

In the past the center has encountered with problem pertaining to their contact with the town lines, however the present damage was not related to that the centre director asserted.
