11,000 fines issued for unfit vehicles in Abu Dhabi
Fines were issued for worn-out tyres, gas emissions exceeding specified standards and broken lights and indicators, all of which could lead to traffic accidents. Abu Dhabi - The Traffic and Patrols Directorate at the Abu Dhabi Police has issued more than 11,000 traffic fines in the first quarter of this year to owners of vehicles that are unfit for use on roads. Fines were issued for worn-out tyres, gas emissions exceeding specified standards and broken lights and indicators, all of which could lead to traffic accidents resulting in deaths and serious injuries.
