Regards,
I am working in Jubail and my family is with me. My company provided me bupa medical card for me only as i am in the single status. But i want to apply a medical card for my wife at the cheap cost. Can anyone guide me in this regards Regards Jaiselvan |

In most cases, you could speak to the Insurance provider (BUPA, in your case) and they would extend the coverage to your family at the same cost and same priveleges. Alternately, speak to your HR and tell them to extend the insurance coverage to your family and back-charge the same to your account. I feel if you go direct, you may end up paying more and at the same time your family not get the same priveleges you get. Generally, companies are happy to do it because their rates are based on the volume and by addiding all the families into the coverage at the employees expense, they gain more at no cost and you stand to gain as well. Also note that the insurance premium for your wife would be more than the rest of the family members. Employee and kids would be the same rate. I hope the info' helps. |

Dear Jaiselvan,
First of all i would like to suggest you If In your Employment Contract your status is single mentioned then you need to request with your company to provide family status so you can get the Housing & Medical facility for your family so just try once if your company doesn't agree then request with your company to provide the medical insurance card for your wife on your expenses so they can deduct from your salary If you need any more suggession feel free to contact With Regards, Mirza S.
