Saarey Jahaan se Accha Hindustaan Hamaraa…. Indo-Saudi Economic & Commercial Relations Chairman's message It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to India Day 2010. INDIA DAY is organized by a group of people from different corners of India, joined hands together and formed an Indian Association, Dammam in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. On behalf of organizing committee, I appeal to all NRIs, Socio-Cultural-literary-religious organizations, influential individuals, academicians, businessmen and leaders to come forward and join hands to strengthen the bonds and actively participate in INDIA Day 2010 “the Indian Cultural and Traditional Festivalâ€. Thanks Fazal, TPM, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia India Day Celebrations: INDIA DAY 2010 is organized by King Fahd Amusement Park, Dammam in cooperation with INDIAN ASSOCIATION, Dammam in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia. The association is a socially progressive organization, viewing the Indian community as a whole, focusing on many issues . Indian Association is a secular, non-profit, non-commercial and a non-political organization. An organizing committee is formed with Sub Committees, to perform different task for this mega event. Indian Association's vision is to form a unified platform and to pioneer in enriching relations and believe in ethnic values will create a living beyond imagination. The unique thought and plan to enhance cultural relations within the communities of India residing in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and to strengthen linkages on International level intrigued the idea to organize INDIA DAY. The objective to celebrate INDIA DAY, is to project the Indian Culture and Tradition of different states of India. Individual states are been given free hand to install their own pavilion at the amusement park, so they can highlight their own state values and the history of it. And an unique opportunity for children to interact with each other from various states in an open atmosphere and aslo can enjoy the free rides in the amusement park. Another purpose is to bring all the scattered Indian community under one roof to understand each other in different aspects and work together for Social and Welfare Advancement of Indian community residing in the kingdom. And to enhance Indo-Saudi Business relations, encourage Indian Businessmen to widen the commercial activities and support fellow members to develop business. It has its importance and plays a major role and paves way for the cohesion, consolidation and dissemination of intellectual thought within and around the Indian community which will go a long way in the projection of Indian Culture, Intellectual & Professional Skills. focusing on the following issues listed as under: The association has the great objectives ahead of doing social and humanitarian activities for the people working, including finding solutions to the problems being faced by the people in Saudi Arabia. The Indian Assoication is focusing on the following issues listed as under: To enhance Indo-Saudi Business relations, encourage Indian Business man to widen the commercial activities and support fellow members to develop business. Focusing on Educational needs of children, and Professional Development of the members. Presenting “Programs†of Academic, Intellectual and socially relevant in nature and of general interest to members. Networking with other Indian Organizations to work in a wider spectrum, availing benefits of rights with the support of the Indian Embassy and also developing strong bonding with Saudi society by making a positive approach and relevant contribution. The organizing committee makes an appeal to all NRIs working in Saudi Arabia including influential individuals, businessmen, community leaders and academecians to come forward and join hands to strengthen the bonds and actively participate in INDIA Day 2010 “The Indian Cultural and Traditional Festival†Thanks to the Saudi Arabian government for hosting 1.8 million Indian expatriates in the kingdom and providing facilities to 140,000 Indian Haj pilgrims every year. Schedule of INDIA DAY 2010 10:00 AM. to 11:00 PM.: Park will be opened for the community It’s fun time for kids as well adults with more than 40 rides Zoo: Entry free 06:00 PM. to 08:30 PM.: (India Day Function) * Inauguration by the Chairman and the Convener * Honoring the Chief Guest, followed by Speech * Introduction of VIPs from different states * Cultural events by Indian Artists * Vote of Thanks Indianization on India Day2010: State Pavilions: Individual states are been given free hand to install their state pavilion at the amusement park, so they can highlight their own state values and the history of it and project their Culture and Traditions. They can also run their own cultural events. Schools run by Indians: All private Indian run Schools are allowed to canvass their well established schools and their set up. Food Court: A special place is allocated for catering purpose to meet the food requirements for the visitors. Tents will be laid out in the FOOD COURT area. Caterers are welcome to join to sell their food and beverages. Cultural Events: Cultural and traditional events organized by state pavilions to develop relations within the states.
