Chennai, May 25 (IANS) DMK chief M. Karunanidhi Wednesday said with his daughter Kanimozhi in jail, it was not appropriate for him to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi during his trip to New Delhi.

 
 “At a time when Kanimozhi is under arrest, it is not appropriate to meet Sonia Gandhi and hence did not meet her. But union Ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad and P. Chidambaram met me there,” he said.
 
 The former Tamil Nadu chief minister was in Delhi Monday to meet his daughter Kanimozhi, jailed as a co-conspirator in the 2G spectrum allotment case.
 
 Karunanidhi also met DMK MP and former communications minister A. Raja, who too is in Tihar Jail charged as the primary conspirator in the scam.
