WHO AM I - Know Yourself' : IMA Youth Wing Program

Indian Muslim Association (IMA) Youth Wing, well known for its charitable and social activities, organized a program on the theme “WHO AM I - Know yourself” at Masjid Al Kabeer (Grand Mosque) on December 16, 2011 after the Friday Prayers.

Youth from different parts of India witnessed a thought provoking lecture by Mr. Mohamad Qutub, Operations Manager & Chemical Engineer, author of numerous articles in newspapers & Internet and well known for his Qutba (sermons) in English Mosque. The topic was followed by an interesting lecture by Mr. Abdul Hamid Al-Belali on Management of Time and Resources.

The young and dynamic speaker Mr. Qutub enlightened today’s youth to realize “who we really are?” and what are our roles & responsibilities as a human being and as a muslim in this world. He also emphasized on our obligations towards our creator Allah. He stressed that in spite of having all the luxuries of world people still lack peace of mind due to their negligence towards their duty as a Muslim.

Mr. Abdul Hamid Al-Belali in his presentation highlighted the importance of Management of Time and Resources. He stressed that time is an extremely important resource in one’s life. If not effectively utilized, so much will be lost. He said Islam has a great focus on the importance of time. From the Qur’anic verses and the narrations of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), He showed examples which can be implemented in our practical lives .

Br. Zabiullah Khan convened the entire event and IMA Youthwing core advisor Br. Arshad Habeeb shared the dais with Guest Speakers. Br. Rizwan, gave brief introduction of Youth Wing and its activities. The program concluded with dua(supplications) and refreshments were served at the end of the program.
