Dhaka, Sep 7 (IANS) All political parties and people in India should remain united to crush the "scourge of terrorism", Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said Wednesday.


"My heart goes out to the bereaved families and to those who are injured," the prime minister told reporters here.

"This is a cowardly act. We will deal with it. We will never succumb to the pressure of terrorism. This is a long war."

He said he was not cutting short his trip to Bangladesh. "I am going back this evening anyway."
