UAE charity sends emergency aid to Somalia
Dubai, Sep 7 (IANS/WAM) A UAE charity is sending emergency aid to famine-hit Somalia. One plane carrying relief items left for the African country Wednesday.
The other plane will leave Dubai Thursday. The relief items are being sent by Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment.
Millions of people in Somalia face starvation and death as the region faces the worst drought in over half a century.
