TMCA conducted Medical Awareness & Counseling Camp

Tamilnadu Muslim Cultural Association (TMCA) arranged a mega Medical Awareness & Counseling Camp with the support of Indian Doctors Forum (IDF) for the community health awareness. Large number of well known Doctors from various specialties, nurses participated in the grand event around 650 community members consulted Doctors with their respective health problems.

The program was inaugurated with holy verses recited (with translation) by Mubasheerah – Daughter of Bro. Muneer (Education Secretary), TMCA. Br. Avoor Basheer Ahmed (President, TMCA), welcomed the Chief Guests, participants, IDF Doctors, Nurses, Sponsors, well wishers and everyone who participated to make this event a successful one. He thanked IDF Doctors for their excellent effort in serving our community people in spite of their tight schedule.

Dr. Ameer Ahmed (Vice-President, IDF) delivered an introduction address on this event. In his speech, he appreciated TMCA's efforts for arranging such Medical Camps. Secondly Mr. Kenneth Alexander Rodrigues (Principal-Indian Public School - Salmiya) Delivered the felicitation address. His Excellency Satish Chand Mehta - Ambassador of India was the Chief Guest and he delivered a short speech praising TMCA's effort in serving community. Bro. Mukhtar Maroof, Former President & Patron of FIMA felicitated during his guest address. Smt.Sankari Narayanan Ex-Member of Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Guest in Town at the invitation of Kuwait Tamil Magazine Felicitated During her special Address. His Excellency the Ambassador of India accompanied by Br. Avoor Basheer Ahmed – President and Abdul Rahim – General Secretary of TMCA presented memento to all Sponsors who supported the event such as, Dr.Murali - General Secretary of IDF, Mr. Nasser Faisal Rasheed – Nasser Sports Center. Bro. Nasser Sadiq Rabbani – Al Ameen Umrah & Haj Service. Bro. Alwany Harris - Al-Mausourji (McDonalds) Catering Company, Dr. Barakkath - Qattan Pharmacy, Bro. Khalil Ahmed (Joint Secretary) TMCA on behalf of Al- Man-O-Salwa Restaurant , Bro.Seenu-Bollywood Restaurant and Al Mulla Exchange Co.

Around 32 specialized doctors from IDF, 5 optometrist from Al-Awadi Optical Co, Qattan Pharmacy, and Doctors from Kuwait Heart Foundation participated and rendered their services in this Medical Camp. IDF Doctors provided counseling to the patients untiringly from 8.00 am till 2pm and around 650 benefited and were highly appreciative of the doctors who attended them with compassion and gave valuable advices on their health problems. Dr. Ameer Ahmed (Vice President - IDF), Dr.Murali Gopal (General Secretary, IDF), Dr. Yusuf Dar (Community Welfare Secretary, IDF) to mention a few who participated in the event.

The whole program was mastered by Br.Sahul Hameed (Treasurer, TMCA). Finally Br. Hidayathulla (Former Vice President - TMCA) thanked TMCA CC member for their limitless dedications and all those Volunteers from our beloved other Associations who took part in this mega event. He also thanked IDF, the Sponsors, Br. J. Barakath Ali, Bio-Medical Engineer, M/s. Majlan Trading & Contracting Co., who have supported this Camp with supply of ECG / Ultra Sonography units with complete technical back-up support, Sister Mrs. Fatima Ziaudeen for her extra-ordinary support and contribution, and all those who helped make this event successful. At the end, Certificates of Appreciation were delivered to all the Doctors, volunteers and nurses for their dedicated services. He expressed sincere gratitude to Dr. Yousuf Dat for his support. A special thanks goes to Br. Al Mass Musthafa, Former President - TMCA who sponsored Dinner (previous night) and Al-Mulla Exchange Company for providing water, juices and Snacks for all the participants. Finally, it ended with Du'a recitation By Bro. Alwany Abdul Razack (Former Deputy general Secretary) TMCA . Alhamdulliah....
