There is no infrastructure even in my office: Mamata
Kolkata, May 23 (IANS) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Monday lashed out against the previous Left Front regime saying there was no infrastructure even in her office at the state secretariat.
"I don’t know how they worked for 35 years. I have never seen things more haphazard,” Banerjee told reporters here.
“How will I work? The room I am occupying now has no phone. There are only two chairs. How can a government run like this? Even my office is not ready. It is a dangerous situation,” said Banerjee.
With her chamber undergoing massive renovation, the chief minister is now occupying an ante-chamber.
“Infrastructure has to be there. I have worked in Delhi as a railway minister for two terms. I have also held the portfolios of coal and sports and youth affairs. But I have never seen such state of affairs,” she said.
She, however, asserted that her government will create a proper infrastructure. “But for that I need some time.”
