The country's condition worst under Manmohan: Advani

Kolkata, April 21 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani Thursday again attacked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, saying the country's condition has reached its "worst" under the leadership of Singh.

"From 1947 I have seen all the prime ministers and their work. But the country's condition has reached its worst under the leadership of Manmohan Singh. I have never ever seen such condition. There is so much corruption all over the country," said Advani while addressing an election meeting here.

Advani also took a dig at Manmohan Singh's reputation as an economist and an honest man.

"He is known as a well renowned economist and an honest man. But look at the issue of price rise. What is he doing to control the price rise of essentials. The common man is reeling under the impact of price rise," said Advani.

"He is known as an honest man. But look at his government. It is full of corruption and he is doing nothing to tackle it," said Advani.

Earlier on several occasions Advani had called Singh one of the 'weakest prime ministers' India has ever seen and that he felt pity for him.
