Team India can fly for free on Kingfisher
New Delhi, April 5 (IANS) All players of the Indian cricket team that won the World Cup can now travel for free on Kingfisher Airlines, the company said Tuesday.
"The heroes of the Indian cricket team who brought glory to the nation in the ICC World Cup 2011 final are being given free lifetime travel privileges on Kingfisher Airlines," the company said in a stament.
Each player, along with his spouse and children, will be able to fly as privileged guests on the airlines' domestic and international routes on flights operated directly by the carrier.
The players are being showered with cash and other rewards from various state governments and companies.
The Indian Railways has announced lifetime complimentary passes for air-conditioned first class travel for the Indian squad.
