Chennai, June 6 (IANS) The Election Commission Monday asked those who contested the recent elections to the Tamil Nadu assembly to file their accounts of expenditure by June 13.

 
 Chief Electoral Officer of Tamil Nadu Praveen Kumar in a statement here said the candidates in each assembly constituency have to submit their final accounts of expenditure within 30 days after declaration of results.
 
 The assembly elections were held April 13 and the results were declared May 13.
 
 A total of 2,748 contestants were in the fray for 234 seats in the assembly.
