New Delhi, May 9 (IANS) Describing as "a legal process" the apex court stay on the Allahabad High Court verdict on the disputed Babri Masjid site, the Bharatiya Janata Party Monday said it believed it could "convince" the Supreme Court in favour of a Ram temple at the disputed site.

 
 Talking to reporters, party spokesperson and senior counsel in the case Ravi Shankar Prasad said the decision was not a setback by any means.
 
 "It is a process of law, any one can challenge the decision, we also appealed in the Supreme Court against the Allahabad High Court decision," Prasad said.
 
 "This is not a setback, not the least. As is very clear from the overwhelming evidences, I am sure we’ll be able to convince the Supreme Court (in favour of a temple),” he said.
 
 Prasad added that the unease of the Supreme Court on the high court verdict was “self evident”.
 
 The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court had in September last year ordered that the land around the disputed site should be divided into three parts -- one for the Ram Lalla deity, another for Sunni Wakf Board, and the third for Nirmohi Akhada, a Hindu sect and an original litigant in the case.
