New Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS) Congress president Sonia Gandhi returned home early Thursday after undergoing successful surgery for an undisclosed ailment in the United States.


Gandhi reached Delhi at 3 a.m., said party general secretary Janardan Dwivedi.

“She reached Delhi at 3 a.m. Her health condition is fine,” Dwivedi said.

The 64-year-old Congress leader had gone to the US early August. The nature of her ailment was not disclosed.
