Some breakthrough has happened: Sandeep Dikshit
New Delhi, Aug 25 (IANS) A day after the third round of discussions between the government and Team Anna ended in a logjam, Congress MP Sandeep Dikshit Thursday said there had been some breakthrough on a strong Lokpal bill but more talks were required.
"I believe that some kind of breakthrough did come through. There has been a broad mutual agreement from the time when they (Team Anna) said that the bill contained nothing to saying that there are just two sticking points. Is that not progress," Dikshit asked while speaking to NDTV.
"The fact that Anna's health is failing is an urgency. The government is willing to be as fast as possible. But for this we need government representatives and Team Anna to sit for five-six days to sort out the differences."
"But with Annaji on fast there is a tension, it's not an atmosphere for discussions to take place so I would request him to break his fast," he added.
