SBI appoints new chief financial officer
Mumbai, April 15 (IANS) State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest lender, Friday appointed Diwakar Gupta as its new chief financial officer (CFO).
Gupta succeeds Hemant G. Contractor, who was recently promoted to the position of managing director of the bank, SBI said in a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Gupta, earlier head of rural and national banking, was also interviewed for the position of managing director.
Pratip Chaudhuri last week took over as the new chairman of the country's largest lender.
