RSS workers at Ramlila ground
New Delhi, June 4 (IANS) Several Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) members, clad in their trade-mark attire of khaki half-pants, were present as volunteers at the Ramlila ground where yoga guru Baba Ramdev Saturday began his indefinite hunger strike against corruption and black money.
The presence of RSS volunteers at Ramdev's agitation site was seized upon by the Congress to describe the agitation as politically-coloured and party general secretary Digvijay Singh said Ramdev's anti-graft agitation was being "remote controlled" by the RSS and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
However, Ramdev has contested the charge saying he was not an agent of any political organisation or party and all those participating in his agitation were all nationalists. He also defended the presence of Hindu rightwing leader Sadhvi Rithambra, citing the good work being done by her.
