Hyderabad, July 2 (IANS) President Pratibha Patil arrived here Saturday for a five-day southern sojourn.

 
 Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy and his cabinet colleagues accorded a warm welcome to the President at Begumpet airport.
 
 She drove straight to Rashtrapati Nilayam, the official retreat of the president in Bollarum, Secunderabad.
 
 The president stays at the Rashtrapati Nilayam, spread over 90 acres, at least once a year.
 
 Patil will stay here till July 6. The same day she will visit the Hindu temple at Tirupati to attend a function before flying back to New Delhi.
 
 Various government departments and the Secunderabad Cantonment Board have made elaborate arrangements for the president's stay.
