A theme park and a resort that is located in the Salou area of Spain is Port Aventura. It is located on the “Gold Coast” (Costa Daurada). It takes and an hour long drive .south of Barcelona, to reach the park. The park is visited be nearly 3 million visitors annually. This makes the theme park as the country’s most frequently visited theme park. Port Adventura also holds the credit of occupying the sixth slot as the most frequently visited park in Europe. It is very near to the Reus airport.

The well-known Universal Studios, Tussauds group (Alton Towers),Anheuser-Busch (Busch Entertainment Corporation) has constructed the Port Adventura as a joint venture. In the year 1997, a majority of the shares was brought by the Universal studios and was renamed as the 'Universal's Port Aventura'. A water park(Costa Caribe) and two hotels were constructed in the year 2000.In the year 2004 the parent of universal studios’ NBC Universal, sold all its shares in Port Aventura was sold. Criteria, eh investment vehicle of Caixa banking group now owns and operated the park.

Furius Baco –It is an Intamin Accelerator roller coaster that was opened in the month of June in the year 2007.It is the fastest roller coaster in the European continent. It has an utmost speed of 135 km/h (83.9 mph).

Boar rides: The boat rides take the tourists from the Mediterranean area to the Chinese area.

Company growth the area is built in the model of an old west town. Some well known attractions are displayed in the face which includes Tea cup and Dodgems in wile west version.
