Ottawa is Canada’s capital city and is the second biggest city in the Ontario province. It is the fourth biggest city in the country. It is situated on the Ottawa River’s southern bank. The city border with Quebec, Gatineau and outline the National Capital Region (NCR).

Rideau Canal

Rideau Canal is engineering works of art, which allow boats to navigate on the Rideau River alongside the descending elevation in the direction of Ottawa. The canal was initially constructed to provide an alternative route and the reach the St.kingston River from Kingston. The canal stretches to a distance of 125 miles (200 kilometers). Even today its historical locks are in operating condition. The Canal traverses through a number of lakes. The water way was man made up to a distance of 12 miles (19km). The Rideau Canal is the Oldest functioning canal and is acknowledged as as a world heritage site.

The Canadian war museum

It is the major museum in Canada that depicts the war history of Canada. It houses a number of rare artifacts.

Parliament Hill

The biggest property in the city of Ottawa is the Parliament hill which houses the Canadian parliament. At the parliment guided tours are performed for the tourists. The big interior chambers and the rooms of the parliament form an extraordinary piece of architecture that is highlighted with history.
