Nandhanam Kuwait conducting - Arangetram 2012
Nandhanam School of Dance, an institute to promote India’s rich culture and values in Kuwait, is conducting its first “Arangetram 2012”, a student's debut on stage dance performance, at the American International School, Maidan Hawalli – Kuwait on Friday, May 4, 2012.
Padmashri Ms. Sobhana, an eminent and accomplished dancer (Indian National Film Award winner for Best Actress twice), would be the special guest for the event.
The “Arangetram” will be conducted in its traditional format with live orchestra by experienced professional artists from India including Shri Arun Gopinath - Vocal, Shri Kiran Gopinath – Mridangam, and from Kuwait including Shri Mahadevan – Flute, Sheeba Peyton – Violin. An opportunity to be part of a live classical music and dance performance.
Smt. Kalamandalam Pushpalatha – Senior teacher from Kerala's premier cultural dance institute, The Kerala Kalamandalam, would also be a guest for the event.
Nandhanam School of Dance commenced its Classical Dance programs from April 2010, with classes incorporating the traditions of Kerala Kalamandalam and with trained faculties who trained their skills from the very same Kerala Kalamandalam.
