Law will deal with Ramdev's armed supporters: Chidambaram
New Delhi, June 8 (IANS) With yoga guru Baba Ramdev declaring his intention to raise an armed force to secure his anti-corruption movement, the Indian government Wednesday said the law will catch up with him if he went ahead with his plan.
Home Minister P. Chidamaram told a press conference here that the Ramdev's plans had only exposed his "true colours and intentions".
"I have seen the statement of Baba Ramdev. I think by making that statement, he has exposed his true colours and intentions. Let him do that and the law will deal with that," Chidambaram said.
Ramdev, whose massive agitation against corruption at the Ramlila Ground in the capital was dispersed by Delhi Police with use of force post-midnight Saturday, announced in Haridwar that he would raise an 11,000-strong armed force to provide security to his protests in the future.
