KIG Pravasi Health Day - A Medical Camp with a difference

"Serve the mankind serve thy Lord" this slogan was made in to practice by a team of doctors and devoted volunteers from KIG, IWA, Youth India and Students India, at Mangaf Najath school when they conducted Pravasi Health Day from dawn to dusk. The medical camp organized by Mymana Social Relief wing of  Kerala Islamic Group provided relief to hundreds of needy and deserving people who got solace when they interacted with Indian Doctors at the camp. The health day included screening tests, consultation, seminars and exhibition. The camp was conducted in co-ordination with Indian Doctors Forum, Kuwait Medical Association, Al Rahma Medical Services and Kuwait Red Crescent Society.  Experts in various specialties like Cardiology, General Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, Orthopedics,  Dermatology, Ophthalmology, ENT and Gynecology examined the patients and free medicine were distributed to the patients, in the camp held at Najath School, Mangaf.


H.E. The Indian Ambassador, Ajai Malhotra inaugurated the event. In his inaugural speech he praised the various activities of KIG and its sister concerns. Kerala Islamic Group President Sakkeer Hussain Thuvvoor presided over the function. Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala Secretary TK Hussain, Indian Doctors Forum President Dr. Namboothiri, Vice President Dr. Ameer Ahmad, Al Rahma Medical Services Head Dr. Saleh Malallah, FIMA President Siddeeq Valiyakath, IPC Community Department Head Abu Anas, Advocate Muneef Abdulla Al Ajmi, KIG Former President PK Jamal, Youth India President Khaleelurahman etc.,  graced the inaugural session.    KIG Vice President Faisal Manjeri welcomed the gathering and Ashraf Mohamed conveyed the vote of thanks. Anees Abdul Salam recited verses from the Quran.

The Seminars conducted as part of the Health day provided valuable knowledge on ‘Cardiovascular Health’, ‘Lifestyle and Health’, and ‘Gynecology’. The seminars were conducted by Dr. Abdul Fathah, Dr. Ameer Ahmad, and Dr. Shameema respectively using multimedia presentations and they answered the queries from the audience.
The Exhibition arranged as part of the Health day proved to be an attraction of the event.
