Dubai: The inaugural function of the Kerala Premier League was conducted at Bhurj Khalifa Aarmani hotel on 18.01.2012, Wednesday evening.

The Brand ambassadors for Kerala Premiere league, Actor “Bharat”Suresch Gopi, Actress Bhama, Cricketer Sreeshanth, participated as guests of honor. The Trio (Suresh Gopi, Sreeshanth and Bama) sang Tamil songs and impressed the spectators. Jayanthi Mala Suresh, the president of the Dubai Tamil Sangam participated in the function and praised the all three guests. She asked them, why they sang Tamil song in a function organized by the keralites. The Trio said they were attracted by the sweetness of Tamil language and hence they sang Tamil songs.

It is interesting to note, Tamil players are also part of the Kerala premier league, on knowing this Jayanthi Mala Suresh requested the management of premier league to convert the name in future, as Kerala Tamil Premier league.
