Kozhikode District Association, a registered association with Indian Embassy, Kuwait, is a secular, non-political organization working for the benefit of the expatriates from Kozhikode District (Kerala State, India) in Kuwait. Mr. M.K.Raghavan, Honourable Member of Parliament from Kozhikode constituency is a Patron of our Association.

During the last 2 years since its formation, the Association has been carrying out various activities to help the members and their families in distress through schemes like family welfare scheme and accident benefit scheme, besides organising various cultural programmes and raising issues of common interest before the appropriate authorities.

In line with our commitment to society, we have recently started a new social welfare scheme called ‘Karunyam’ (meaning kindness) to help poor people from Kozhikode, with special emphasis on medical aid (details available in the notice).

In connection with our new social welfare scheme ‘Karunyam’ we are conducting a mega musical programme titled ‘Rafi- Kishore Nite 2011’ on 8th November 2011 at Central School Open Auditorium, Abbasiya from 5.30 pm onwards.

Fusion music by Kuwaiti violinists will be an attraction of the event and will prove to be a new experience to the audience. Musicians will play on their instruments with a scintillating and mesmerising performance.
Famous Kuwaiti singer Mubarak Al Rashid will sing the songs of legend late. Kishore Kumar. Late Mohammed Rafi’s famous songs will be sung by Muhammad Rafi popularly known in Kuwait as ‘Junior Rafi’. Jameel, famous Pakistani singer will be another attraction of the event with his melodious Arabic and Hindi songs. Other reputed singers like Neelima Dominic (Idea Star Fame) and Rebecca will also sing in the event.

Moreover, two TV artists from Kerala (Mr. Vinod Kovoor and Mr. Devaraj - Amrita TV and Soorya TV fame) will entertain the crowd with their famous numbers.
