New Delhi, April 25 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi's daughter Kanimozhi, who was Monday named co-conspirator in the second generation (2G) telecom spectrum case, was in touch with former communications minister A. Raja over launch of Kalaignar TV, the CBI told a Delhi court Monday.

 
 The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), while filing the 31-page second charge sheet in the case so far, said there was clear  indication of Raja's strong association with Kanimozhi, a Rajya Sabha member herself, in the official and political matters.
 
 The  charge sheet said she had also been in regular touch with Raja regarding the launch of Kalaignar TV channels and other pending works of Kalaignar TV.
 
 Raja was pursuing the cause of Kalaignar TV not only for getting registration of the company from the ministry of information and broadcasting but also for getting it in the Tata Sky bouquet, said the CBI, which named four others in the charge sheet.
 
 After the CBI filed the charge sheet, Special Judge O.P. Saini said: "Accused Karim Morani is a resident of Mumbai and accused Sharad Kumar and Kanimozhi are residents of Chennai. Accordingly, issue summons to them for May 6."
 
 The CBI, which had arrested leader of Tamil Nadu's ruling DMK and former communications minister Raja as the main accused, has, apart from Kanimozhi, also named four others as co-conspirators in the case.
 
 Sharad Kumar of Kalaignar TV, Karim Morani of Cineyug Films, and Asif Balwa and Rajiv B. Agarwal of Kusegaon Realty are the four co-conspirators named by the CBI.
 
 Morani paid Rs.200 crore to Kalaignar TV in six instalments between December 2008 and August 2009, the CBI said.
 
 Investigation revealed that in June 2007, Kanimozhi along with other promoters, incorporated Kalaignar TV after they left Sun TV network.
 
 The CBI said that Kanimozhi was a stakeholder in Kalaignar TV to the tune of 20 percent of the equity and was an active brain behind its operation.
 
 She also actively pursued with the intermediaries and DMK leaders at the party headquaters regarding appointment of "accused A. Raja as minister of communication and information techonology in 2009, which clearly establishes his strong association" with Kanimozhi in official and political matters, said the CBI. 
 
 Kanimozhi told IANS in Chennai minutes after her name was included in the chargesheet: "I don't want to comment now."
 
 "I am not even a director in Kalaignar TV," she said, even as the probe agency said she has a 20 percent stake in the TV venture.
 
 Investigation has revealed that in June 2007, Sharad Kumar along with other promoters, incorporated Kalaignar TV after they left Sun TV.
 
 "Kumar was a promoter and director of Kalaingar TV and is a stakeholder in the company to the tune of 20 percent. He is a director and CEO of the company. He has attended all the board meetings of the company wherein the decision regarding the aforesaid transaction were taken by the company," the CBI said.
 
 "Kumar has signed all the agreements purportedly in this regard, not only on behalf of the company but also on behalf of himself and other directors," said the CBI, adding that he had also been visiting Raja.
