New Delhi, Aug 28 (IANS) It is a victory of the people, Anna Hazare said Sunday as he broke his fast on the 13th day and thanked his supporters for the "success" of his nationwide anti-corruption campaign.


"I thank all of you for today. It's your success," the 74-year-old crusader told tens and thousands of cheering supporters at the sprawling Ramlila Maidan here.

He was referring to parliament agreeing to the three crucial points demanded by Team Anna for a strong Lokpal.

"The fruit of success is yours," Hazare said after breaking his fast by sipping a glass of coconut water and honey given to him by two girls - one a Dalit and the other a Muslim.

The crowd, which had gathered since early morning, cheered, danced and raised slogans in his favour, as he broke his fast.
